Photographer Phil Jung is the Juror for this years Hawaii Photography Show at East Hawaii Cultural Center opening on Saturday, July 2 at 5:30 pm.
Shingo Honda in exhibition at the East Hawaii Cultural Center, Hilo Hawaii opening Saturday May 28, 2016 at 2:00pm through Friday June 24, 2016 features an exuberant selection of paintings and drawings. The episodic presentation includes graphite and colored pencil drawings; abstract and representational paintings executed in a range of media on both paper and canvas.
Young at Art is a decades long tradition spearheaded by EHCC volunteer, Judy Hara. The exhibition offers a venue for public, private, charter, and home school school children of the Big Island, encouraging creativity and the pursuit of art media. In this decade of diminishing investment in educational arts programs, Young at Art underscores our belief that creative thinking is a critical resource for all of our kids.
The East Rift Art Show showcases alternative art, such as tattoos and body art, automobile and motorcycle art, painted skateboards, body boards and surfboards, and unusual "found art" creations.

EHCC/Hawaii Museum of Contemporary Art presents the work of three local artists during the month of June; Rick Ryken, Julianna Ziegler and Steve Irvine. The show opens on the First Friday, June 6th, 5:30 pm through 9:00 pm, featuring live entertainment and refreshments, and continues through the month to Wednesday, June 26th. Each artist will be showing in a separate part of the main floor of the museum.
